Urban Decay’s newest addition to the Naked collection is their Heat palette. As soon as I found out this palette was launching I didn’t think twice about purchasing it. It’s completely different from any other Urban Decay Palette I own. The collection includes 12 new shades that range from warm browns, burnt oranges and rich siennas. The colors are so versatile and give you many day to-night time makeup options.
On June 23, Urban Decay released their Heat palette. I however I didn’t pick it up until I found out about it on July 6. I drove to Ulta, ran inside and picked up one of the last palettes they had in stock. Immediately I knew I had to sit down and create a makeup look that day. The only way I could give an honest review was to test out the palette in its entirety. I was able to do just that, and I ended up with a great outcome. You can watch my tutorial here to see live swatches and a simple makeup look. After swatching the colors, I was completely shocked at how pigmented they are. Not only were they pigmented, they gave me compete fall vibes.
I love the packaging a lot, you can tell they put a lot of thought into it. The orange packaging carries from the outside of the palette until you open it up and reach the inside. Urban Decay stayed consistent with the magnetic closing of the palette. Urban Decay completely killed the packing of this palette; the design is sleek encased in hard plastic. You still receive your dual sided makeup brush that comes with the Naked palettes. This palette also includes 8 matte colors and 4 shimmer shades. If you’re a little unsure about purchasing the Heat palette, I recommend reading reviews as it’s an investment of $54.
When creating your makeup look, I recommend doing your eyes first just in case you need to clean up afterwards. Some of the colors have a little fall out when applying, but it’s not a major problem that can’t be avoided. I didn’t notice any fall out while applying the colors to my top lid, just when applied to my bottom. However I was able to lightly take my beauty blender and dust it off.
I however didn’t read any reviews because I already had a long history with Urban Decay and knew I wouldn’t be disappointed. The best thing about purchasing Urban Decay products is I know they value the quality of the products they put out. I love how I can achieve multiple looks from natural to dramatic without having to switch between my other Naked palettes. This palette is definitely a great addition to my other Naked palettes as well as a perfect addition as we begin to leave summer and enter into fall.
I can’t wait to try this palette!!

I got this palette from UD and I’m completely in love with it. I can’t wait to create a makeup look using this palette, the eyeliners & lipstick.
I would love to know what you think about the eyeliners and lipsticks. I didn’t pick them up.
