A week ago, I bought the Real Techniques Stippling Brush after previous failed attempts at applying my new Stila Foundation. I figured it would provide a more flawless finish compared to my beauty blender and Sigma brush, which brought me no luck at all. Upon opening the package and feeling the brush, I instantly fell in love with how soft the bristles were. I knew that this brush would live up to its hype.
I really love how soft the bristles are to where they create an airbrush finish to your foundation. Immediately after applying my matte Stila foundation using the stippling brush, my foundation was completely smooth. I also applied a different technique than I usually do by dabbing the foundation into my skin instead of applying it in circular motions. My foundation didn’t apply cakey, and my cheeks didn’t peel like they usually do with my sigma brush.
The stippling brush didn’t pick up a lot of product which is good while using a high-end foundation or concealer. I also noticed that the brush is denser, lighter and easier to clean after each use. While cleaning the brush I used my beauty blender solid cleaner in order to protect the soft bristles from shedding. I noticed that after cleaning it, there still was no shedding as there usually is with most drugstore brushes. The only downside to the stippling brush is how wide it is at the bottom, this makes it hard to fit in my brush holder. But the width of the bottom of the brush is also a benefit because it makes the grip easier while applying your makeup.
Nice, I tend to stick to the same few brands of makeup brushes so it is good to find reviews of other brushes.
I haven’t tried this brush yet but I believe it’s good lol. Real Techniques makes some pretty amazing brushes for the price! I always thought this brush looked a little small for foundation but now you’ve got me curious to try it. Great review!
I thought the same thing also. Now that you mentioned it I just realized they put the wrong name on the brush. It’s suppose to say stippling brush, but instead it says blush brush.
Im going to give this a try I’m trying to try different brands of makeup brushes!
I love real technique brushes, one of my favorite foundation brushes is from them. I will likely add this to my collection.
