I usually post my monthly favorites on my YouTube channel. But with the way things have been going this month, I haven’t had time to sit down to record a video. So for the end of November I’m bringing you my November beauty favorites. These are products that I’m obsessed with, they have helped me better transition my makeup look as the season change. Most of these products are face for your face so I hope this helps some of you if you’re looking for new things to try out. The only product I didn’t mention that’s featured is the Lancôme Bi Facil makeup remover; you can read about in in a previous post. Since this is my first monthly favorite post please let me know in the comments below if this is something you’d like to see on a monthly basis.
The first product in my list of beauty favorites is my Too Faced semi sweet chocolate bar eyeshadow palette. I love that all of the colors are fall/winter themed and can be used to achieve any look. I usually use truffled, hot fudge, peanut butter, frosting, licorice and caramel if I want to achieve my signature smoky eye. I then take the butter cream color and use it on my inner eye duct or as a highlight. There’s so many day to-night looks that can be achieved with this palette and that’s why I love it, especially when I’m traveling.
Can you believe that I’ve had this nail polish since December 2015 and have never used it until now. It was a Christmas gift that I looked at and said this color is not me so into the nail polish drawer it went for a year. I didn’t start using it until the second week of October because we were headed to NJ/NY and I wanted to look nice. Since then the X Formula nail polish has become one of my favorite colors, it’s dark and very elegant. In all seriousness I may reapply this color through the whole month of December as well because it’s too pretty not to.
I purchased my Tarte Amazonian Clay concealer at the beginning of this year for my birthday. While on my lunch break I had someone how found my way into Sephora not needing anything at all but wanting to buy something (I know, I have issues). I asked about their concealer’s after looking in the mirror and seeing my dark circles; they applied some Tarte concealer and I’ve been hooked ever since. The consistency is smooth and goes on with ease to give you a non cakey concealed look all day. My Nars eyeshadow primer works wonders like you wouldn’t believe. I don’t know if it’s just me or not, but sometimes I forget that I’m wearing makeup and will rub my eyes. In the past it’s been a problem because I would rub my eyeshadow right off. But this past weekend, while driving to church I rubbed my eye and my eyeshadow stayed in place.
Lush has been my go to store since I first hear about it in high-school. While visiting Atlanta my senior year I visited the Lenox Mall with my parents and stocked up on Lush products. This usually included bath bombs and face products. But last year I discovered their bubble gum lip scrub after seeing a YouTuber mention it. I drove to the mall that day and bought one and I’ve been hooked ever since. As many of you know Fall and Winter usually means dry, cold weather. For me, my lips get extremely dry during these seasons and tend to peel a lot so this scrub makes it easy to get rid of the dead skin and keep my lips moisturized.
