Weekly Recap: Relaxing In The Bahamas

At 26 years old I simply just wasn’t happy where I was in life. I had talked to my husband about quitting my job(s) for a while. Everyday I went to work I was more reminded of how much I hated it. But one particular thing happened that completely sent me over the edge and I’d had enough. So I quit and I haven’t looked back since. Since then my stress is lower and I’m much happier, but even the best of us get burned out sometimes. In order to stay focused and motivated, my husband and I decided to go on a cruise for a week to relax in the Bahamas.

1st Stop: CocoCay

Grab your sandals! As soon as my shoes hit the sand I kicked them off and I was instantly happy. The view was absolutely breathtaking, I couldn’t help but run to the water and dig my feet in the sand. However if you do decide to visit CocoCay don’t forget to apply lots of sunscreen and wear a hat. I was sunburned in less than 20 minutes. If you choose not to pay for shore excursions (which we didn’t) the beach is beautiful on its own. We took our snorkeling gear which was perfect for an underwater swim.

2nd Stop: Nassau

This was my second time in Nassau. The first time my parents took my sister and I. So the second time around I didn’t need to explore as much. We left the ship, bought a coconut to drink and got one strand of my hair twisted in colorful string. However if you do go to Nassau, check out the beach as well as Atlantis (d0n’t pay hundreds of dollars to explore it) walking around inside of it is just as amazing.
